Bananas!

I think I subconsciously let my bananas turn brown just so I can make Banana Bread!

My absolute favorite recipe for Banana Bread comes from the classic American cookbook, Fannie Farmer. I finally received my own copy this year, so now I don't have to call my mom every time I need a recipe from it.  It's quick and easy to make and your house will be filled with a delicious aroma! I alter the recipe to make it a little bit healthier.

Give it a try, I am sure you and your family will enjoy it!

Fork's Banana Bread (adapted from Fannie Farmer's cookbook)

3-4 ripe bananas
2 eggs
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
Mash the bananas in a bowl and beat in the eggs. Sift together the two types of flour, add the sugar, salt, and baking soda. Combine the two mixtures and stir well. Pour into a buttered loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
